My first attempts at sewing.

After 5 months of sitting and gathering dust, I thought it was finally time I actually attempted to use my sewing machine. So I made some little bits for Martha's doll, Potato (don't ask....).

Here are the last bits I made.... The top is actually ok, the trousers are rubbish but it's all practice.


It is quite addictive but I am running out of practice fabric and I'm not attempting something with the good stuff!

Well done I feel great after making things, a good sense of accomplishment! Be brave and use the good fabric Or what about having a clear out of your old clothes that you dont want that you could cut up to practice with until you feel more confident?

There is a actually a little fabric shop locally that does lovely bundles of FQs so I might drag DH down there later.
