Overlocker tension help!

Postby katyav » Thu Jul 28, 2011 8:25 pm

I haven't had my overlocker for very long but so far I've managed to adjust the tension right... now I'm lost :gaah:
Since it would take me a week to try and explain it, here's a picture. As you can see on the wrong side on of the treads is very loose, what am I doing wrong? I'm trying to sew two layers of wool interlock so relatively thick...

Before you play too much with the tension, try rethreading your machine. If the thread isn't going thru the tension wheels (I'm not sure of the correct word) then fiddling with the tension settings doesn't actually help.

Might be too late for that.. :lookround: but it makes sense about the wheels, I used to have the same issue with my sewing machine, will try that! :wine:

Make sure your foot is up when rethreading
