Sewing Machine

Postby Woozle35 » Sun Aug 28, 2011 8:44 pm

I am going to have £100ish to spend on a new machine (mine died :( ) but I have no idea what to get. I have read 'Em's sewing machine finds' but still quite clueless. Can anyone help?

I have a Toyota machine, I know it's not what everyone else goes for but it was relatively cheap and it does everything I need it to. Nothing I can complain about thus far

How much was it? I don't know if I should get a second hand one, worried I would not know if it was ok or not.

Have you had a look in your local sewing machine shop? I got my first machine from an independent shop, reconditioned & with a 3 month guarantee. They sometimes take them in part-ex & spuce them up to sell them on cheaply. I think it cost me about 50 quid but that was about 15 years ago!
