Cutting up a terry for boosters

Postby macmomo » Sun Oct 09, 2011 9:08 am

If I just cut up a large terry (eco earth organic bamboo, very well used but working perfectly) to make inserts for my BBOS pockets, do I just cut them and go or will I need to hem them to keep them in shape/stop fraying?

I would overlock the edges. You'd probably need them several layers thick anyway if they're going to be inserts.

I don't have an overlocker! do I just make a hem? would that be bulky?

you could just sew around near the edge twice

You could see them together with right sides together leaving a gap to turn them the right way round, then top stitch round the edges. That what I did when I used cut up Terry to back my wipes
