Velcro side closing nappies are great!

I'd never come across nappies that closed with velcro at the sides rather than at the front.

I'd heard hat the fit is very good so I made one.

It fits great!

I'm converted! Nappy changes with my wriggly toddler are MUCH easier!
And my little monkey finds it much harder to take off - much to her annoyance :yahoo:

The cherry on the cake is that the velcro is very easy to apply. Much less guess work than snaps.

I used the Darling Diapers pattern (http://www.darlingdiapers.com/buyddu.html)- and highly recommend it.

Ooh I might try them! Although I've fallen out of love with velcro a bit after most of mine have gone grey  I guess that's how G-nappies work?

I've just started making these as well. They're fab. Mat finds them a lot easier than the side snap. I use the darling diaper pattern as well. It's fab.

Which side do you put the rough bit on? Is it soft bit on the front facing baby's skin and rough bit on the side tabs at the back??
