My 1st shawl :-)

Postby Shaunie » Thu Jan 19, 2012 1:23 pm

After starting & frogging MANY times, things finally klicked in my brain! I used large needles and aran yarn so has taken me 4 days, working an hour during the day and maybe another hour or so of an evening. I  it, it's thick, soft and very long. will keep me snuggly warm during night feeds I'm sure.

Thanks for help given, especially @tracedw

Thank you, Isaac was 'helping' before he went off to pre-school!

Tracey, I can't believe how fast a knit it was once I got my brain in working order. I'm now wondering what I'm going to do this afternoon when I watch escape to the country before going to fetch Jonah from school! Really enjoyed making it :D . Still have to weave the ends though.

I had some pinky DK left over from another preject & was half way through a medium soaker (just for something to do!) when I started my shawl so I could finish that. Other than that I only have 100g of boyish yarn left now, apart from a few small scraps
