My sewing project - now with action shot!

Well inspired by the craft swap I thought I'd make a little something for Isabel while the machine is out. So I cannibalised a sleepsuit and made this:



I'm not very happy with the gathered woven / jersey join, I've never sewn with jersey fabric before. Do you need to secure the gathers (to something fixed?) before you join maybe? But still quite cute I'll do action pics later!
