Broken overlocker, but excellent customer service!

Postby lmap44 » Fri Jan 27, 2012 7:26 pm

So, got a Brother 1034d overlocker for xmas and went to use it for the first time this afternoon. All was going well until I went to place a scrap under the presser foot. The lever did not work, just went round and round. Didn't seem to be connected inside iyswim. But the machine is easy to use and still serges lovely I just had to raise the foot by hand

So phoned up where it came from and they passed me onto brother (3yr parts, labour and carriage warranty). Phoned brother and within half hr they sent me an e-mail with the postage details for tnt (at their cost) to collect and repair, they said it should be back within 10 days. :yahoo:

Has anyone else had similar issues with brother overlockers?
