Is minki absorbent?

Apparently the absorbent part of the new easyfits is entirely minki. I always assumed minki was like fleece in that it repelled liquid (so acted as a stay dry layer) and so was totally non-absorbent. So is it more like microfibre then? Could you make a nappy or booster entirely from minki???

Minkee isn't absorbent at all. Are you sure they don't mean the new inserts are minkee topped?

Minki is like fleece, it repels liquid. I can't find any info on the new easyfits. do you have a link?

Minkee doesn't absorb liquid at all, that sounds odd to me.

I saw that on the Tots Bots Facebook page too when asked they said it was entirely minki, but it sounds strange to me :?

When I saw I assumed they meant minkee topped....youd hope so or they may get a lot of unhappy customers with nappies leaking after one pee.

They are all minki, and I've got to tell you, no leaks or nothing! They go longer unboosted than the older style. And they are dry after five or ten minutes on the radiator...

What do you mean all minki? That is the only material in them? No cotton, bamboo, microfibre?

Thanks - so I'm not mad :-) So do you reckon it's a special kind of minki? Where can I get hold of some of this magic stuff?!
