Hi ladies i have not been on here in so long as my life has turned into 1 big rollercoaster. I think i posted a while ago when we started weaning DS to say he had dairy allergy which was mildly amusing as his dad is a dairy farmer, he then started vomiting on a daily basis and his eczema got out of control. He then had 3 major vomiting/shock reactions to chicken. We have been to various specialists and he was diagnosed with a rare allergic condition called FPIES (food protein induced enterocolitis). He has just turned 13 months and can only drink a special formula i cried when i had to give up bf at 9 months but i couldn't find which food he was reacting to and my milk was making him sick), we have tried nearly 30 foods and they all make him vomit.
DS had a big reaction to potato today which was scary as he was in his carseat in the car whilst i was opening up the house and he could have choked.
Not really sure why i am posting here but i know many of you have been supportive in the past. The problem is now he is getting older he is starting to ask for foods and i can't give them. Do you have any ideas for keeping him occupied whilst we are eating? Preferably in his highchair as my dd tends to drop food on the floor whilst we are eating and he has been known to hoover bits up and get sick. He is fine with formula, water (obviously) and sugar. Any non food suggestions would be great x
