Whats your best piece of BLW advice?

I have decided to go for BLW when Darcie is ready which im really excited about! I have a copy of baby led weaning that arrived this morning and im working my way through it...

But for those of you have have done it/are doing it....whats your best piece of advice??

Embrace the mess

Don't panic about 'choking' it is more than likely gagging, perfectly normal

Use an Ikea or similar 'basic' highchair - I got very fed up very quickly of trying to get the mess out of Tylers stupidly expensive chicco Polly! Definitely embrace the mess and try to relax and enjoy the experience

relax and let her get on with it

get a dog , saves any tidying up after

Put a sheet/towel under the highchair!

I echo the don't panic mind set and just go with the flow. If you can relax and just go with it it is the easiest thing you will do

Don't worry about how much they are eating its just tasting trying and learning. Milk is still what they need at this stage.
Also the choking just shows they are learning to use the gag reflex so actually a good thing.
