Homemade hair gel

Anyone made their own hair gel? I'd love to give it a try if anyone can recommend a recipe that works.

Never heard of anyone trying it.

I haven't seen the film - better look it up on YouTube!

Don't like the sound of sugar water, I was thinking something gelatin based.

Dh used shea butter before, left his hair very soft when he washed it, I use it for me and dd 1 as a conditioning treatment. Wouldn't work on lonhg hair asd it would just look greasy but great for short hair hth
