I know on the hazelnut milk it says not to be used ss a substitute for children under 3, not sure about the others, but the soy says it can be for children over 12 months if that's any help?

We used Rice milk at the recommendation of Williams specialist. (it may be different over here tho) I bought some almond milk last week on offer and it was really yum!

Emi usually gets soy though it's like 1 portion a day.
Pancakes are made with oat or soy milk.
Instead of cream we use ricecream or soycream.
Isis gets still Neocate 2 portions a day, if she wants more she gets oat or almond as she's allergic to soymilk.
Don't try to make a cappucino with ricemilk though as it doesn't foam :giggle: the other ones are fine ;)

This is a brilliant resource of subs you can use, I was so excited to find cream cheese alternatives but haven't got round to buying them yet.

We use soya for tea/coffe and to make pancakes, bechamel sauce etc; almond milk for drinking and coconut milk drink (in cartons, not cans) for cooking most other things with.

Only ever tried soya yoghurts and cream as local shops don't stock anything else, I know there is concerns about the phytoestrogens but in moderation I think soy is ok for little ones.

Great link but it does make me :furious: :wtf: that so many dairy free alternatives contain soya :gaah:  :nono: when so many people who are intolerant to CMP are also intolerant to soya protein.

I suppose they are targeting the vegan market rather than those with intolerances/allergies. It is a shame that there aren't more mainstream options though, even 'free from' ranges don't tend to sell things like coconut or rice milk yoghurts etc.
