Home made washing powder

@clothmama I can't get borax overhere, seems to be a very nasty ingredient.
Oops I made a mistake it's not Nestle lol it's this one http://www.liberty.co.uk/fcp/categoryli ... esti-dante. Very lovely soaps btw.

Will let you know how it turns out.

My first trial......failure

Seems the washing soda I used was a bit wet, has been in the cupboard for months and with the citric acid......it made a very impressive blob
Will give it another try but first need new soda and new citric acid, glad I found some old load of grated soap and I didn't spoiled my new lovely ones.

Its alive!

I did it and it works very very well!
Impressed and very happy with the result so far.

What I used:
one bar Dr Bronners lavendel soap, grated
200 g Epsom salt
200 g Baking soda
200 g Washing soda

Mixed it up and used it to wash...lovely smell and clean laundry!

Oh I've never seen a recipe with baking soda in - glad it is working for you but I did at your blob - did you try it - it may have still worked @MissFrodo
