Cleansers

Postby ems101 » Sat Feb 11, 2017 1:49 pm

I've been using Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser for a few years, but quite fancy trying something new, natural if possible. Any recommendations?

I'm seriously looking at making my own, I've heard wonderful things about oil cleansers and a friend here uses honey with sugar (gritty) in it and says her skin has never been better (she is an older lady). I like the idea of the oil as I think it will help as I'm not getting any younger! I keep meaning to do my research about it but can't tell you more yet but will post here when I do!

I can advise on handmade cleansers tory

I'm still testing everything face care for my perfect formulations. My skin is a nightmare  I get ridiculous breakouts but my skin is so dry it drinks up oil. I think spots are hormone or stress related so it doesnt help using products for oily skin. But then dry skin products make the spots worse :loopy:

Of course! So what do you think is a good place to start - have you tried oil cleansers @littlesez ?

:hohoho: I won't be making to sell, just love creating for the family but I could do a swap if I ever feel happy with a creation

Tory, if you are thinking of an oil cleanser this is an easy option. If you want a traditional cleanser as in a face wash the making if it is simple but formulation is a long process and you will need to buy all ingredients which is expensive. If you want to create a lotion cleanser then its a crazy process! More playing, more ingredients, more science ha ha

Oil cleansing didnt work out for me :( so with my breakout prone but sensitive dry skin I'm experimenting with a face wash, possibly a toner and a moisturizer
