Postby Kirstyh » Wed Jan 27, 2010 5:59 pm

Ok so tell me how do you use it. I am keen to give it a go and stop using cilit bang which is the only thing that gets our bath clean cos we are minks :giggle:
Do I just put vinegar, bicard and some lemon juice in a spray bottle and go for it??

I use vinegar in a spray bottle, white malt vinegar (get it with the vinegar in the supermarket) and I cut it roughly 50/50 with water. I buy boxes of bicarb in Wilkinson's, it's a lot cheaper than buying the bicarb in the cooking section in the supermarket. I just spray it on, scrub and rinse a little.

Bicarb I use in the drains, sluiced with vinegar. If you have a blocked drain that will clear it, but takes quite a lot, it's good to keep sinks clear though.

I don't use lemon juice, but have in the past, with salt.

Meant to update this, I made up a mixture (it fizzed every where) and I am really disappointed, I just don't get that clean feeling, work tops etc were fine but as for good deep cleaning it was rubbish and then there is the smell!!!!!!

I only use bi-carb and vinegar down the drains. I also make it into a paste and use that to make my stainless steel kettle all shiny and new-looking - rub the paste on with some elbow grease and then wipe off.

:wine: to Kim and Aggie. I have their Cleaning Bible and its brill for cleaning tips.
