I did this briefly! I had made a load of fleece wipes for DD which I wasn't using, so I used them myself. I would recommend fleece.

I just got lazy again, mainly because our nappy bin isn't near the toilet. But I wondered if other people thought about this sort of thing as well, and now I know :hohoho:

FYI, I didn't involve DH, and I didn't see a problem with using the wipes for 'all eventualities'! My view is, after 2 years of close contact with someone else's poo I'm not that squeamish about my own

Hmm, really feeling inspired to start again. Thanks!

I've been thinking about this. Like lots of others though, strictly wees only! I think especially if you are washing nappies anyway, then it would be really easy to throw in some extra wipes. Our nappy bucket is by the loo anyway.

Haven't mentioned it to DH yet, but he just accepted the cloth san pro without much comment, so reckon he'd go for it....

Would be good to hear some feedback from those who have tried

Ok, update it is, you asked for it!!

I have a ton of flannel/bv wipes in a small basket on top of the toilet. The nappy bucket now lives under the sink which is next to the loo (I think at the time of my original post the bucket was outside the back door, but now we only have 1 lot of night nappies so we have a smaller bucket). Tallin uses the wipes when he takes his night nappy off and I use them for wee, AF and (sorry if this is TMI) I use tp for the first wipe after a poo and then cloth if more wiping is needed  :giggle: No one else uses them to my knowledge. We have a macerator on that toilet so I haven't suggested the boys use them simply because if they dropped them in the toilet by accident we'd have a very messy situation!!!

I'm finding we don't often need to buy tp, I buy a large pack maybe once or twice a year I think, that's for 5 of us (although dh is out during the week), with 4 of us home full time, but I am the only female in the house. And it's so much, erm, fresher feeling to wipe at AF (and ovulation time iygwim ;) ) with a dampened cloth wipe than tp.

Wow, nothing like revealing all before b'fast on a Monday morning :hohoho:

Good to hear how much you've cut down on TP. We get through tonnes of the stuff and it's soooooo expensive!

We use them as burp cloths, cleaning towels, wash you hands with it, etc. But not on the toilet, sorry but don't think I can cope with it.

If I can get round to it I will def consider using cloth wipes for myself, especially since there tends to be a lot more "mess" after birth, and I dont know if our loos could cope with the amount of TP I'd inevitably be using then  Our nappy bucket will be kept in the downstairs loo, and a wetbag upstairs (both of which will be used for CSP anyway) so it wont be a problem storing the used wipes, and I love the idea of having a nice little basket of dry ones! :)

I'm really thinking I may start using them - for wee and possibly af (really not keen on the poo thing and we don't even have pooey nappies anymore!).
