Isn't it, I knew nothing about it until OH told me Jak couldn't have SMA when we switched to formula! I can't imagine explaining it to a 5 yr old is that easy, but saying that they stop mummies BF and makes babies sad sounds a good way to go!

I'm pleased to say that Sophie did a talk on how bad nestle were at school in her english class. Both girls are ardent nestle avoiders.

This explains it perfectly

We boycott nestle but didnt realise it started in 1977, which is a bit depressing to think that not enough has changed making it still necessary after all these years

Nestle have their dirty fingers in so much, owning 30% of Loreal and even things like GoCat biscuits and Felix cat food. I've only recently re-educated myself as I had fallen into bad ways these last few years and have been more concerned with my own problems than the worlds which I'm ashamed of  Greenpeace are currently campaigning heavily against Nestle http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/ - please watch the video and register your disgust with what they have done to the orangutans by their use of illegal palm oil.

I'm always completely honest with my kids about why we boycott Nestle, Proctor and Gamble and companies like them. The older ones keep up with the Baby Milk Action blog and are quite happy to tell their friends why they don't eat their products. They've even converted a few.

Wow old thread dragged up again

My original post is 2yrs old now. I'm happy to say that all 3 of my boys know all about Nestle (some of it at least) and are quite quick to spot a label when shopping. They have assigned themselves roles in the supermarket, working out where our food comes from (aiming for the British stuff), spotting Nestle and co. and working out which items are cheaper than the same in another packet
