Do you still get your 4th week free?

I don't think it is every 4 weeks - I think it is a one off promotion where you get your 4th box free.

:giggle: trust me to get the wrong end of the stick. Atleast we get 1 box free. :D

We used Abel & Cole for a while back in 2006. To be honest I wasn't impressed with the quality of their fruit and vegetables. They were often unripe, lacking in flavour or well past their best. We used them for a few months before stopping. Things may have changed since then of course, or we may just have been unlucky.

We now get a box from Riverford and I can't recommend them highly enough. Delivery is completely free and the fruit and vegetables are delicious - they have so much flavour. I haven't tried their meat yet, but plan to get some soon. We had some salad the other week that was not too good, so I complained and got a free bunch of asparagus the following week, which I was very happy with.

That's so strange. Our Riverford box comes from Hampshire, so I would have thought they would deliver to you as you must be much closer than us.
Hopefully Abel & Cole will be fine for you. As I said, our experience was a while ago and they do generally have good reviews x

Hiya

We started getting abel & cole boxes 3 weeks ago. We get both the medium veg & medium fruit boxes, it's £23 per week and so worth every penny. We're demi vegetarians (fish eating) so eat huge amounts of fruit & veg. We do a monthly shop at Tesco/costco for essentials and to stock up. Works out so much cheaper.
After our 4th free week, we're going to switch over to riverford to compare the quality.
So far I've been very very impressed. The fruit comes unripened, which is fab as avoids waste - put next to bananas and it quickly ripens in no time. I love the fact we're experimenting without the hassle of actually going to the supermarket and thinking of what to make. All u need are some cupboard essentails - rice, pasta, tinned toms, herbs, spices etc.
Oh and its really exciting getting ur boxes :giggle:
