we wash our mop head in the washing machine
you can wash most of the vileda ones in the machine I think

I've heard bad things about steam mops if you have wooden or laminate floors as well. We use 2 heads - one to was with aa tiny bit of cleaner and then rinse with hot water with the other and no stickiness.

I put my mop-head in the machine too.

I like the idea of it, but in reality I think it would lose it's 'gadgety interest' after a while as a mop is easier to just get going with. Maybe that's just me though :hohoho:

Maybe use a different detergent :? - you can get some that are no-rinse so shouldn't leave a residue, although saying that I use way more than half a capful and it doesn't leave my floor sticky. Maybe you need to use a bit more to get it clean.

I always sweep before mopping and empty the water out when i'm done and leave the mop head to dry. It goes in the machine when i remember, probably every couple of weeks maybe or when it looks particularly grim :oops:
