If anyone would like to try a cheap, less permanent, more edible option, growing climbing beans (or flowers) up round a bamboo-cane wigwam would be an easy thing to try. I'm trying to convince my mum to let me do this at her house :twisted:

Sorry thought this thread had disappeared. The den has gone green! Lots of lovely shoots coming now and we've got some play bark down so its looking good. I'll post some updated pictures but am so relieved that its growing :giggle: . Will work out how much it cost us as let you guys know.

Gayle love the idea of having an edible wigwam, we are growing french beans and peas again this year so think I may have a go at making a mini structure using bamboo canes too. Not sure how long it will last though with my little eating machine and will have to keep a very close eye on him whilst he's it -as soon as he realises there are peas growing it will be bald.
