Face cream for toddlers & moisturising bath stuff

Postby Shaunie » Wed Feb 16, 2011 4:24 pm

Isaac has my skin type which means he's prone to dry skin on his legs and arms and he gets dry patches and blemishes on his face too.

I'm looking to try a nice natural cream for his face and also something moisturising I can use in his bath (not oil though as the boys would be dangerous!). Any suggestions ladies?

Ta x

Oats in a tied up tight foot popped under the running water will make thier shkin nice and soft. They can use the oaty sock to wash themself with and squishing all the milky goodness out onto their skin will really help it too

I get very dry skin on my legs and arms. I tried many different moisturizers and creams over the years and the only thing that helps is pure coconut oil and pure cocoa butter http://www.akamuti.co.uk/category/exotic-butters/ I also use it on my kids when they get dry skin patches.

My aunty loves the products from this site http://dermia.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=11 and they have quite a few mum/baby products including cream for dry skin, might be worth a try.

I use unrefined shea butter on both DS skin. Keeps the skin lovely and soft and no preservatives etc.

We use oats in a muslin tied up with a hairband in DDs bath. Makes her skin lovely and soft and her dry skin and eczema has pretty much cleared up now. I tried oats in my bath once as well, just to see what they were like, really nice!

My girls have very very dry skin just like me.
I use Weleda Baby creambath for the bath and Weleda baby bodylotion (the yellow tube) for face and body, works perfect and smells gorgeous.
