Ecoballs-missing the smell of fabric softener.

Postby mangajude » Tue Jul 12, 2011 5:14 pm

I wanted to know if any of you ladies that use ecoballs miss the smell of softener!

I have been using ecoballs for about 9 months, I got them to use with my cloth nappies before my lo was born, and loved them so much I switched over to them completely. The only thing I really miss is that fresh softener smell when everything comes out the wash!

I wondered if any of you ladies that use ecoballs, have come up with a nice solution for this. I have thought about putting something like lavender oil or camomile oil in, all the stuff I have read around this say to put it afterwards, however I feel this slightly defeats the eco side/stingy side :giggle:, is there away round this? I'm guess putting it in with the ecoballs wouldn't work/damage them?

Or should I just cut my losses and accept this is a small price to pay for such a great product?

I put a few drops of essential oil in the dispenser drawer of the washing machine.

That ^ in the summer or I put a few drops of essential oil on a cloth & pop it into the dryer with the clothes on bad days.
