Has anyone got one?

I like the idea of this better than a composter but need to know more. Thanks!

watching for replies because I would like one too but I don't know what to think about the whole being able to put raw & cooked meat in it.

My mum had one of these for years, I loved it because we could just throw anything organic in it and use the compost on the garden. I still to this day have no idea how she got the compost out :-? I never saw any way in to it apart from the lid at the top

We use a bokashi system instead. Works really well and adding the bins to the compost heap speeds up the entire composting process as a bonus.

Yes! I    mine so much! It works much better for me than a composter because I am awful at gardening and remembering to do anything with my garden.

IT REALLY WORKS! You can put accelerant in but we have never needed it!

One tip we have learnt is to put it near the kitchen (we have it dug in next to our back door) otherwise it makes it awkward to use, or at least it did for me as I lost our little indoor waste tub.

We had bin strike for 6 weeks and only just filled our bin by the end of it!!!!

Go cloth nappies, green cone and recyling! :giggle:

Thanks Magnajude. I think I am leaning to the cone. Although the bokashi sounds good, I would have to have the composter too.
Just got to convince hubby now. Might collect kitchen waste seperately for a week just illustrate.....

Can you put bones in too? Are there any things you can't put in?
And did you find it difficult digging the hole for it?
I've made a 60cm paper circle and the diameter fits :)
