Best nappy bag when baby wearing?

Postby clothmama » Mon Jun 30, 2014 6:00 am

I'm looking at what to make and while the obvious choice is an Onbag and I know some of you have made them / use them but I was wondering if it would annoy me and if I'd get on better with a backpack style when baby wearing?

What do you think of this? The straps can be a backpack or messenger style carry:

Anyone seen or have any other good ideas?

I have a bad back and find one shouldered bags really uncomfortable so I just use a rucksack. Once the boys were big enough to go on my back then I started to use a shopping trolley or put the rucksack on my front.

Good to hear Jess, I thought it should work, I like that this can be worn in different ways.

I think I'll go for this unless someone has a terrible reason why not! Now I just need to find and order some lovely laminated canvas to make it :) US postage seems to have gone up heaps since I last ordered :(

If only you had decided this a week ago, mum could have taken the fabric back to Oz for you and posted from there!

I think it depends on what you are doing when you are out. If going from a to b then a back pack is good, but if you need to dip in and out of a bag for your purse/snacks/tissues etc I find a shoulder bag best. Also one with lots of pockets so there is less rummaging around!

I've just brought an ergo back bag that connects to ergo when back carrying.
