Folded pram dimensions

Postby clothmama » Fri Aug 15, 2014 9:52 am

In my recent pushchair / pram quest I did hours and hours of research. My main criteria were parent facing and capsule adaptable to make it into a travel system, preferably with a bassinet option. My other really important thing was size, I needed it to be as small as possible as I only have a small boot (Citroen C4) and we will be traveling overseas when the baby is quite small. I compiled a list as I looked at each pram so I could quickly compare the different sizes. I thought I'd share the results just in case it can help anyone else not spend the hours that I did!

  • Valco Rebel Q 890L x 595W x 525H
  • Valco Rebel Q Sport 860L x 590W x 380H
  • Quinny Buzz 3: L-80cm x W-67cm x H-31cm
  • Quinny Buzz 4: 67.5 x 60 x 10 cm (check 10cm doesn't sound right)
  • Bugaboo Cameleon: H84 x W60 x D30.5cm.
  • Rozibaby:
    3 wheel: 84 x 50 x 32 cm (L x W x H)
    4 wheel: 84 x 50 x 30 cm (L x W x H)
  • UPPAbaby Alta: 94cm (h) x 56.5cm (w) x 28cm (l)
  • Britax affinity: 66cm x 60 cm x 33cm
  • Silver Cross Surf L71cm W58cm H28cm
  • Quinny Zapp 25W x 22H x 65D cm or 95 x 42 x 29 with seat on
  • Oyster:
    with wheels H75 cm x W56 x D40
    without wheels H70 cm x W50 x D31
  • Phil and Teds Smart Stroller:
    Wheels off: 95 x 45 x 20cm
    Wheels on: 101cm (height) x 53cm (width) x 20cm (depth)
  • Phil and teds Verve
    65 x 31.5 x 86cm with or without the double kit attached
  • Phil & Teds Smart Lux
    Width:
    55cm / 21.6”
    Folded:
    L110 x W55 x H31cm
I ended up going with the Phil and Teds Smart stroller and I love how light and small it folds up and that it has all the options I was looking for. I'm still jury out on the seat as the baby gets older as I've always highly rated the fully reclinable feature of my other strollers with the other kids but it is winning my over big time so far!

Please feel free to add your prams dimensions and I'll add to the list :)

Wow-what a lot of work went into this! Amazing x

(Is the height/width of the zapp right? Sounds like a dolls pram! ;-) x)

It was literally days and days of my evenings in front of the TV and researching at the same time! I think the zapp is right, it is certainly the published dimensions, but as you will see that is without the seat on, with the seat it is much bigger (and compares favorably to the Smart, which was my final decision maker!), so you'd still need to have the seat on top of that! @Dora
