Best way to tie a moby for newborn

Postby PixieFix » Wed Nov 26, 2014 7:11 am

Any ideas anyone? She's now almost 3 weeks old and over 8 pounds if that information is relevant. And as a side point I finally plucked up the courage to start using cloth nappies :yahoo: after the midwife at the hospital put the fear in me about her bellybutton getting infected (which, looking back is probably a load of rubbish  )

Thanks ladies, will definitely give this a go. I don't like putting her in the buggy when we go out, she seems so far away! :giggle: And as it turns out I hate my wallaboo pouch sling, she seems so crumpled up in it. Thankfully I only spent £5 on it.

I can't get on with the ring sling we have been lent :( but finding the moby hard to tie when it's raining because the tails get wet on the floor when tying x

I'd definitely go with this hold too for a newborn, my LO loved it
@clothsister I found the same thing so when I'm going to use my Moby rather than woven I now put it on before going out. Even if I'm getting in the car I drive with sling already tied, so I can just stick her straight in it when we get to where we're going.

ach! have you been shown in person? I use a ringsling every single day and love it. worth persevering with for sure-nothing like being hands free, able to deal with ups/downs/nappy changes and no bulky sling to think about too. do you start with baby over shoulder and with the rings a few inches down your back the other side and then as you pull/tighten shift baby and rings to the one side in one fluid movement?
