Security Postage and Payment Options

Whilst there are generally few problems in clothnappytree.com's nappy market we have been informed of several such problems on other nappy and baby related websites and feel it is necessary to offer these guidelines.

We would like to stress the importance of being careful at all times when buying anything from anyone on the internet.

Check the seller's post count and content of previous posts (you can do this easily by clicking on their user name) - It should be obvious if the person is a genuine member of this community or not.

IF YOU ARE AT ALL SUSPICIOUS ABOUT THE PERSON SELLING AN OBJECT DO NOT BUY IT.

IF YOU ARE AT ALL UNCLEAR ABOUT THE DESCRIPTION OF AN OBJECT DO NOT BUY IT.

PayPal - This is the prefered method of payment on Cloth Nappy Tree. When buying we suggest you use a form internet payment such as Paypal through whom you can complain if anything goes wrong with your transaction. PayPal has a very efficient claims system which is very simple to use and free. Requests for payment by "gifted" or "donated" PayPal will not be tolerated. This type of transaction is for donating money and PayPal will not cover you if you misuse this method to purchase goods.

Cash, cheque or bank transfer - You may not ask for payment by cash, cheque, bank transfer or any other method of payment that does not offer an adequate claims mechanism in case of a dispute.

Proof of Postage - As a seller it is always a good idea to obtain proof of postage from your post office. Without a P.O.P. we cannot make the assumption that you have sent the item.

We would be really grateful if you would inform us about any member acting inappropriately in order that Cloth Nappy Tree Classifieds remain a safe place to buy nappies.

Please also be aware that our time is limited and that if you fail to take adequate steps to protect yourself in any transaction i.e. by not paying by regular PayPal or by using an uninsured postage method, we will not be able to help you resolve your dispute. It is not fair to ask us to spend hours resolving your problems because you were unwilling to spend the few pence necessary to protect yourself by paying or posting by an adequately insured or protected method.
