Where to buy plain clothes for applique, embroidery?

If anyone would care to share, I just wondered where WAHM's got their clothing from to add applique, embroidery to, to then sell on? Obviously the ideal would be to make my own T-shirts eventually, but for now, I'm going to be appliqueing clothing already made, what do you suggest I use? A certain brand or does it not matter, and is there any legalities about adding design to a branded item and then selling it on?

Do you leave the Tesco label inside, and should you state it's a tesco item on your listing when you sell it, or something else, I am interested in what everyone else does as then I'm not going to make a fool of myself

The ones I have bought still have the Tesco label, plus the WAHM has sewn in her own label too

When I've seen embroidered tops for sale, the WAHM usually states that it's an off-the-shelf XXX brand one.

We make our own, so I've not looked into it, but I would imagine you wouldn't be able to buy and then sell on a Tesco one for instance, without their permission. There are a couple of chocolate wrapping WAHM's, and I know they are not allowed to buy and re-wrap branded chocolate (whether it has the original branded wrapper on underneath or not), they have to buy chocolate especially made and sold for re-wrapping.

Have you asked the place you get your embroidery stuff from (thread etc), the one we use has a huge range of clothing designed to be embroidered and then sold on.

Would Tesco really care? its a sale they wouldnt have had otherwise, especially if nobody is trying to hide the fact that it is a tesco t-shirt
what about selling on ebay for example when people sell BNWT?
