High chair wrap

Postby moo54 » Tue May 03, 2011 12:04 pm

Hi ladies

Does anybody make wraps that can be used on chairs to safely strap a wriggling 18mth old on a chair? Want to take one on hols just in case not all places have a high chair free...

not sure if any of the wahm's make them, but if you have a sewing machine there's quite a few online tutorials on how to make one and they look fairly easy. if you google 'travel high chair tutorial' or something similar, you'll see a few come up.

i'll be making one this weekend. can't point you to the exact page i'll be using at the moment as work has blooked that site :x but if you're interested then pm me.

http://www.totseat.com/

We have one similar to this, find it really handy although it does mean DD is very low as sitting at normal chair height. We have sometimes sat her on a cushion first when at friends houses. I think John Lewis sell them.

ETA just seen on the Kiddicare website, Gro and Koo-Di do them too

Thanks ladies, I know I can buy them on line from the normal places, I just wondered if a wham makes them at all for cheaper as it'll only be used in emergencies.....and as for making them myself.......I haven't touched a sewing machine for about 20yrs

Good point about them being so low when tied on though....dd probably would still end up on my lap I s'pose.

Do you have a wrap for carrying your LO? I'm fairly sure you can use one of them to make a makeshift totseat style thing.
