Upcycling 100% cashmere?

Postby aimeet » Wed Apr 18, 2012 3:19 pm

Mum gave me a really soft bright pink jumper with a few holes in, the arms are fine though. I upcycled a jumper last year into trousers but this is 100% cashmere. Can I use this for longies or as it is quite thin would it be useless. Thought they would be a nice summer weight :?

Grace used to have some upcycled cashmere longies and they were gorgeous. She was a light wetter so they could be used at night, will be fine for a heavier wetter in the day x

If it feels quite thin you could felt it?

Or if you want to keep it the way it is, you could sew in an extra layer in the "wet zone" iykwim?

I had lovely cashmere longies for Amelie. They had an extra wool bit sewn into the wetzone.

Right so extra in wet zone and possibly felted. So do I make longies for Evie or crops for Penny?
