Dh did this to my first ever pair (well Callum's, bit small for me ) and also some gorgeous Halobaby ones. I'm still to forgive him, although I accidentally put some Neels Knits boardies through a 2 hour 40 degree cotton wash the other day and they survived I'd always suspected they were superwash though as they don't last long between washes.

I don't think Neels uses superwash for woollies. I have actually washed quite a few woollies on a 40 wash myself by mistake in the machine and they've felted slightly but not really shrunk so have still fit fine.

which boardies were they? i've never used superwash for nappy covers.

i've knit that colourway several times. 'Storm' by Babylongelgs. That one looks like it's BBR (blackberryridge merino). they always work great over nappies. i'm sorry you've had trouble

I think he must like them that much he feels the need to celebrate it No troubles with them they just need lanolising more often than the others, no leaks though, it's the only pair we have that has no pilling and they still look like new, no felting in the crotch, colours are still perfect even after a machine wash

Definately more yarn to add to my must have list.
