Vest Knit a Long

I've just finished a newborn vest (wouldn't you believe it, while CNT was gone I found time to knit ), it stills needs a button but I'll upload a pic when I replace my camera batteries!

I wish there had been a bit more guidance on the number of stitches to pick up - just a rough idea would have been handy, I had to redo the neck ribbing because I hadn't done enough first time round. I'll count mine and add them on here in case anyone would find it useful for reference.

I found the same on the neck ribbing too and had to re-do it. I'd have never gotten it over LO's head otherwise! It looks so small to me, but then again that might be simply because I've forgotten how small newborns are.

Have kept on going thanks to all your encouragement! have got to finish the back and do ribbing. Think I just got a bit bored as just doing a block colour and doesnt knit up so impressively as my last project (springtime in hollis)

Now up to shoulder grafting, been working more than usual so progress been slow. Not alot of wool left though, bit worried I wont have enough to finish!

I finally cast on last night Am using DK rather than worsted so my gauge is 6st/inch and have sized up to the 4T rather than the 2T - half way up the body, so fc I should have it done in a couple more days

I may actually be able to cast on shortly as I decided to make a couple for Imogens school uniform and I have bought the pattern

Awww thats lovely! Have ran out of yarn so am off Sunday to try get some to match!
