I mostly just knit nappy woolies but I have used most of the tips in my set. I use a 4.5 or 5mm for the main body of the knitting (Aran) and 3.5 or 4mm for the ribbing. I've also done hotshot jumpers in dk that use 4/4.5mm and something using a 6mm I think (can't remember what?)

If you subscribe to lets knit magazine they are giving away a mini knit pro set with it - looks like the nova needles from the picture

I think I shall order some fixed knit pro novas to try, what cable length should I get? My cheapies I'm using now are 40cm but was wondering if 60cm may be better? I shall get 3.5mm & 5mm as I use these most for soakers :giggle:

For soakers I would go for a 40cm cable, I only use my 60cm cable for Aidan size knits.

I love my Knit-pro interchangables too, they're not the cheapest to buy but they get used for all knitting because of the different cable lengths, I've rarely needed straight needles or dpns if I've had the right size tips for the knit-pros. The only problem I've found is that the smallest cable size (60cm, maybe it was) is too long for small circumferance knitting (small soakers, legs etc), and I bought smaller knit-pro circs for those. You can also get shorter tips for interchangable needles but I think it worked out cheaper just to buy 40cm circs. Of course you can always use magic loop with the longer cables.

I have one cable that is now starting to look a bit loose at the join, but it's lasted two years so i don't mind replacing it, the rest are all fine and I've yet to break one! Cheap circs just don't last at all!

I love my addi click set, but havent tried any others except cheapies.

Have you tried straightening them out. I am sure I read somewhere about holding the cord over steam (carefully obviously  ), so I googled and found this

Hth or ignore if you want an excuse to buy different ones :giggle:
