Acrylic?

I would like to knit a Little Hoodlum for my friends little girl. But I know my friend wouldn't know how to treat real wool. I wouldn't even trust her with superwash. I was thinking to use a variegated acrylic yarn. Is there anything out there that's nice to knit with, not squeaky? I've used the Stylecraft Special DK and it's nice to work with. Is there something similar?

I have used stylecraft special, also like King cole baby top value, King cole comfort, wendy mode (50% wool, 50% acrylic) There are a few good acrylics out there but I would recommend buying in person so you can have a squidge.

Have you used the Stylecraft Vision? Is that any good?
