Wool wash - where to buy?

Postby Rox » Sat Aug 04, 2012 9:58 am

I've had a look through old posts but it seems some things have changed and i'm drawing a blank.

Where do you all buy your wool wash from but note i dont want woolishous which is why i think i'm struggling to find some in the UK lol.

I used NE exclusively with Scarlett and loved it but i dont want to ship it over from the US and i do have a random pot of So Scrumptious lanolin which i seem to recall was great but looks like she is on babymoon at the moment.

I'm also a bit dubious about buying 'old stock' - i think lanavida opened up again to sell off wool products but they were selling when S was in nappies and that means they might have been sitting around for 2years which i'm not sure about given there are no preservatives in them etc.

So help, where do you buy from??!

Why don't you want to order from the US? I get all mine from Katie @ Ewe Need It. She usually ships really quickly and I've not had a parcel stopped yet. When we've done mini co-ops none of the parcels were stopped either and we all received our parcels within a week or so. I've seen Sheepish Grins in quite a few UK shops, I think Millies Nappies was one of them.

Personally I won't use it due to very poor CS in the past plus the few items I have had haven't lanolised as well as some other brands. Others have and do get on with it just fine though. It seems quite popular.

Its the postage cost, last time i ordered direct from NE it was so expensive with shipping and then i got stung by customs on it - would prefer to just buy it here as i dont need loads really, or rather, i am limiting myself - i do not need a different scent for every wooly item

I have my own personal reasons for not wanting to buy from them, i haven't tried their products so cant comment on that or CS x
