Little sister dress?

.... On ravelry...Has anyone made one?

It calls for a short 3mm circular, doesnt specify length but i've cast on the right amount of stitches on a 40cm circular and i cant flipping join up as stitches dont stretch... Have i done something wrong?

I haven't, but I want to, so will watch this with interest!

Nope you havent done anything wrong, there are just not enough stitches to stretch around a standard circular needle. You could do magic loop and use the needle you have (google magic loop its really easy) or buy a shorter circular or dpns I did one years ago for Evie and must have just useds dpns and it turned out fine

I made one about 12 months ago & had to magic loop it.

Thanks ladies... I guess i'm teaching myself magic loop tonight then and failing that i'll get some DPN's

I did the 6 month size but in DK so it came out more like 12 months(had to play about with the number of shoulder section repeats and stitch numbers) I'd only just started knitting so I'm pretty sure I didn't magic loop it so would have been on a 40cm cable.
You should be able to use travelling loop which I find a bit easier than magic loop http://impeccableknits.wordpress.com/traveling-loop/

Well i have learnt i'm crap at knitting with dpn's so i tried magic loop with some scrap chunky yarn and a long circ i bought for another project... Soo much easier than i thought, so i'll be doing that i think... Need to order a new needle now tho

...and because I didnt want to waste my 'practice' magic loop knitting... i made a hat for pooh bear
