Romper or dungies?

Postby Shaunie » Sat Aug 18, 2012 4:09 pm

When I have yarn funds, I am thinking of making something for Emmet. What do you think will be easiest for a novice knitter, a romper or dungies? They will be for autumn/winter. A daft question too, do you lanolise rompers & dungies as you do nappy covers or just wear them as clothing? :-?

How much yarn would I need for a 12mth item? Would you do short or long sleeve for a winter romper?

I would go for dungarees as i find them more practical and adjustable and they dont take as much yarn.

I don't knit so no idea which is easier but dungarees will fit for longer. M certainly wore her dungarees more than her rompers. I washed and lanolised them as you do other woollies and just put them over fitteds with a non poppered vest and tshirt underneath.
