Readymade merino?

Postby epsilon1 » Fri Sep 07, 2012 2:16 pm

Are those readymade merino wraps/soakers you can buy worth buying? They look nice, and I like merino for me to wear, but equally, if home-knitted ones are as good / better then I may as well go with that option.

I personally like Disana Merino wool pants. They are what I used on my youngest from birth. It is the gentlest thing I have found on their skin matched with a muslin as a nappy for a new born.

Good to know! Those were the ones I was looking at :D

Of course one can buy merino knitting wool, but it tends to be superwash, which isn't ideal...

I've since bought some 'normal' wool, and assuming I don't have someone who's sensitive to lanolin, I figure that will do to start, and I can then get a merino as an (perhaps smarter) alternative. Always nice to have at least 2 of things - one in the wash and one to wear

I am a fan of Disana too. The wool pants are a really good price for woolies too.
