What should I do to finish this blanket?

I've been knitting this for over a year now! so really should finish it. But I can't decide what to do. I could either dye up some more wool and knit half the original stripe size in all the colours, as i've started to do.

Or frog back to either the purple or the second pink stripe and finish there?

Or third choice is to knit ever smaller stripes and finish with 1 row of purple which hopefully would not need me to dye up more.
