Waist/hips & rise measurement for NB longies?

I want to make some of Joeli's longies for the baby, before he's born. I know they should be around 6 inches for the insie leg, but what waist/hips and rise should I make? Obviously it's only a guess, but any idea?

Rhys was about 8lb9oz when he was born, but obviously this baby could be completely different.

i've done NB size 12 waist 12 hips and 6 leg
and small i've done 14 waist 14 hips and 7-8 leg but i had a long leg boy first so done them a bit longer this time

14 inch on both but i thing NB is 12 but i like a bit of room to grow too to make them lat a bit longer

M was 6lb 13 and hers were 12 waist, 12 rise, 14 hips, inseam 5 (and that was far too long!) Smalls were 15 rise.

My newborn are 14" rise and 16" hips and they were snug on D who admittedly was a hefty 9 and a half pounder 5" inside leg too. Any smaller and they would be tiny

I'd go for small over newborn All my smalls are/were between 14/15 yes a bit big at first but then we used little lamb size 1 quite early on and these fit right over the back of the nappy

wss^ smalls go nicely over size 1 LL so making some of those and some NB soakers to go over xs nappies
