Sorry, another silly question!

Postby fivefourfour » Tue Sep 18, 2012 9:41 am

I'm doing a cable band and the second line of the pattern just says to work the stitch as it appears.

Row 1: Knit 3, Purl 1, Knit 2, Purl 4, Knit 4, Purl 4, Knit 2, Purl 1, Knit 3
Row 2: K3, work each stitch in the manner it presents, K3

So, I knit 3, then do I knit the purl 1 or purl it?

Are you knitting in the round or flat?

If in the round then I would just repeat row 1. If flat, I would do the opposite apart from the k3's so Row 2: K3, k1, p2, k4, p4, k4, p2, k1, k3. If you look at the stitches then they should be the same stitch as the row below. *I think!* That's how I would read the pattern.

Knitting flat. That's what I thought, but I hate frogging at the begining of a project, I end up giving up!

Thanks ladies. x
