I don't understand how you get a holey finger knitting?! Is it one of those "everyone does it slightly differntly" things? Maybe you could try changing different techniques to see if there's another way that doesn't hurt?

It's just cos I've not knitted in so long :lol: plus I think I knit quite tightly, and am cabling at the minute, so I have to push the needles back through quite hard at times.

I had a hole in my finger a while back but I changed the way I was knitting slightly and effectively it stopped me knitting so tight so was quite a good thing.........

So do you push the right needle with your left hand to take the stitch off?

I'm a tight knitter too and found the same, I tried to not push on the end but slightly to the side and that helped loads!
