@0_Lisa_0 is a bit of a sock whizz, although not sure if she uses dpn's or circulars...

I use dpn's, it's still easy enough though, I don't think I have ever seen a circ with a small enough for socks. Have you done a ravelry pattern search? Almost all the patterns I have looked at are written in the round, it's more down to whether you want cables or top down or two at a time ;)

I may have to brave dpns then :loopy: I had a look on ravelry but couldn't see any. I thought you maybe able to do them magic loop? I'll have another look later and have a look at the dpn patterens
Thanks ladies

You could probably magic loop any of the patterns you find that are knit in the round ;)
If you type in magic loop and sock to the Rav search I'm sure it will give you something ;)

I use 30cm needles for socks. The first few rows are a bit tricky s i do sometimes start with a few rows in DPNs. I just use any patterns though and put markers where you would change needles so that i still have the same sections as in the pattern.

I wanted to make some socks for myself too and wanted to use magic loop as dont have DPNs and dont really fancy buying any. I was trying to work out the other day how to do a pattern in magic loop that is explained on DPNs and how you divide the stitches etc, so would I just put markers in between the stitches and count each section as if it was on a seperate DPN @babyroo ??
