Learning :D

Rhys asked me again if he could learn to knit, so since I'm now on a much simpler piece of his stocking I decided to go for it, this way, if he wants to stick at it he can just copy what I'm doing.

So I cast on 20 stitches for him and did the first row, he took about half an hour or so to do the second one (with an hour or so break half way through). I'm dead proud, he's learnt the process really quickly and can actually remember the steps which surprised me massively.

Wow, we'll done Rhys. Im very impressed.

his uncle is here visiting and he kept shouting over to him "Look, Uncle Aido, I only have 3 stitches left now!" really proudly. LOL uncle and daddy were not quite as enthused as Rhys. Although DH is all for it as he thinks it'll be great for his dexterity.

Wow that's amazing. I've tried with martha as she's mad keen to do anything I do, but she just can't get it, and she is very dextrous for a kid her age. Go Rhys!

Wow thats really impressive. I have no idea why but I always think that Rhys is the same age as the toots, so I was massively impressed thinking that someone their age could manage (i'm impressed when Lockie can get his shoes on on his own!), even 5 is really young to master something like that.
