Just realised how much yarn I have - need patterns for it

Postby Mareth » Mon Nov 05, 2012 5:49 pm

I need you lovely ladies to spam me some patterns. I have 400g of aran merino in 4 different colourways (plus trim), and an as yet undyed 150g or so. Was planning just to do loads of longies, but I'm not actually sure now how many small longies I'll need (have 3 pairs already).

Can you recommend anything else nice that I can make for bubs with aran weight yarn?

Also, I have 200g of DK merino that I was planning to make a romper or something with, but need to choose a pattern for that too, and I'm very indecisive :giggle: .

So, gimme your patterns!

Dungarees? I think its the Chickadee dungaree pattern Michelle @50ftQueenie uses.

Gift wrap romper is quite cute too.

Cardi? Vertebrae is lovely for teenies, and Puerperium too.

Yes. That's right Eleanor, the Chickadee overalls is the pattern I used. It's a really lovely knit and they are SO cute in a tiny size. Fast too. :-) The vertebrae is meant to be good for babies that are worn because it keeps their backs warm, but doesn't cover their fronts. It's also another fast easy knit and there are options for different weight of yarn. :D

I love the Owlie jumper. It was a really quick knit and it looks lovely on a boy (I was worried that it was too girlie).

Not so good if you don't like owls though :giggle:
