Treating myself to new needles

Postby Little Pants » Sun Nov 18, 2012 7:40 am

I've decided to invest in some really nice needles. Can anyone suggest any which are really nice to use, especially circular ones. Which makes are really good? I don't mind paying for really top notch ones.

Depends whether you like to knit with wood, metal or plastic.

I love my knitpro symfonies, I have the deluxe interchangeable set and they're so nice to use.

Metal is my favorite - never got on with wood or plastic

You'd probably like Addi Clicks then. I  my knitpro rosewood set, but if you don't like wood I'd go for Addi Clicks :)

I've got the Knitpro Nova set & the Addi Clicks & I like bits of both. I love the pointyness of the KnitPros but I find the joins a bit of a pain as even when you tighten them with the key, they sometimes unscrew. The Addis are great as the click on & off is really quick and easy and secure but I don't like the points, they just aren't sharp enough for me & I find myself splitting the wool. However, I have used nothing but Knitpros for 3 years so maybe I will get used to the blunter tip in time.

I love my addi lace set... its got a 40cm cable in it, so perfect for knitting baby & toddler things.

But since starting to use fine sock yarn, i prefer wooden needles for that as I fine the metal a bit too slippy.

No harm in having both ;)
