Where do you put your crochet hook?

I'm driving myself mad as every time I get up and set down my project and hook I come back and can't find my hook Anyone got any good ideas of keeping track of the slippery little beggars????

Make yourself a hook roll like the one you made me on the swap!

Somewhere in the pile of crap on my desk, or maybe in the floor if it's fallen off! I do have a case for them but usually the ones i'm working with aren't put away until I'm finished with them.

Poking them into the ball of wool keeps them a bit safer but dep[ends on the ball as to whether they stay put or not

I put mine in a pencil case x

I either stick mine into the ball of wool or thread the handle end in and out of the actual crocheting I'm working on. That stops it from falling out.

Mine are all kept in my crochet hook case (which was made for me by my best friend as a birthday present)

The ones I'm using go inside the project bag that I'm holding the project in!

Thanks girls! I do use my crochet roll to keep them all in - @sim it was actually the very first sewing project I made and it has wonky lines but I it!!

It is more the single hook I'm working with that I loose when I get up and down all the time off the sofa! I was thinking of a little upright cylinder that could sit on my side table for it to go on and wondered if anyone had such a thing

I have my hooks in a little book, the hooks and book belonged to my granny, I also have a wooden case that belonged to her for the hooks.

Sometimes in my project bag, sometimes on the mantlepiece other times it also disappears down the side of the sofa!
