Joeli, I can't find the post about Dawn's sizes, how many to cast on etc  I know it's here somewhere but I'm being dumb  :giggle:
She's about 24waist, 27 hip?

Would it make much difference if I missed out the short rows? My first turn is always nice, but the second one always leaves a hole :-?

Beautiful colours :D I love the green and grey together.

I'm just past the difficult bit where the needles kept falling out and stuff! There's enough wieght to the knitting now to keep everyhting a bit more stable! So hopefully will make a bit more progress now, as I've been picking it up, knitting one needle - hating it, putting it down again LOL! Managed three rounds on the trot last night, so moving slightly quicker now!

I would post a pic but can't work out how to turn on the web cam!

I've managed to knit loads today but now that it's all stockinette I'm not so happy with it :( , there's a gap between the stitches at the end of each needle :-? . It's not noticeable when it's unstretched, but once I stretch it out to what it will be in wear, it's definitely noticeable and I can only imagine it'll affect the performance of the longies :( . Will the stitches kind of reorganise themselves in use, or is this now a permanent flaw? Is there anything I can do other than frog the stockinette section and put it on circulars instead of DPNs?

:x

Can anyone help? Do I need to frog back to the ribbed section and start again? What length circs would I need? I don't want to open my knitpros yet, and only have 80cm other than that, is that too long?

Sorry, I can only get on the computer once a day now so I just saw this. If it is not noticeable when it's unstretched then it should even itself out after the first wash. I would leave it alone and keep going.

There are a few things you can do to avoid this. Mainly, don't pull super tight on the first couple stitches of each new needle or move a couple stitches from one needle to the next one every so often. But really, this will even itself out with practice.
