Would you believe this actually woke me up last night. I was just getting to sleep at about midnight and had a sudden revelation! (Don't know how as I wasn't even thinking about it at the time :giggle: )

I was doing the pattern correctly, the only thing I did wrong was, when it came to putting stitches on a holder, I only slipped to the very first 'beginning of the round' marker, rather than the first marker for the increases  . Doh! :x Can't believe I was so stupid, and undid all my work which was perfectly fine :giggle:  . Ah well, it's all more practice

JUst got the first leg finished, so thought I'd pop up a pic of the progress so far.

I'm quite impressed with how they're turning out, and I love how the colourway is coming along. My picked up stitches at the crotch aren't great, but a quick stitch will sort that out, and a couple of the short rows are a bit funny at one end, but again that's easy fixed.

They look hugely long, but I've compared them to Rhys' other longies and it's just cos the legs are skinnier :giggle: . I have made them slightly longer than the current ones, so that with the cuff turned up they're the same length and then will have growing room once the cuff is at full length.

Wow they are beautiful! What colourway is it?

And how did you get the colours to pool so nicely, mine never do

I dyed it myself with koolaid. Grape, lemon-lime and berry blue I think. It striped nicely because of the length I made the loops when I was preparing it, I wrapped it around 2 chairs at either end of my hall, so the entire loop was probably about 40 foot around. Then divided this into 3 pots for the 3 different colours. It was very awkward dealing with such long loops LOL
